Default Contemplating a Switcharoo

Actually, I'm not contemplating anything. Apparently my wife has had my ***** in her purse for quite some time now. She has informed me that, although my RKC is beautiful, she isn't comfortable at all on it. She states that she loves to ride, just not on this bike. So I'm looking into an Electra Glide Ultra Limited. Am I headed in the right direction for her comfort? I don't think there will be much change for me, I'm just fine on the RoadKing. It's all about her.

Could be as simple as a saddle change to make the RK more comfortable. Hey the Ultra Classic Limited is the way to go. Music, heated seats, more storage.

Get a tourpak The backrest is what she misses. Get quick detach so you can pull it when solo.

That helped my wife a lot. And I like having the tourpak. But mine is a 100 eBay special.

Is the ride any different or the same as the road king?

My wife had the same complaint when I had my 09 RKC. We traded it in on a 2011 ultra limited. We got a hammock seat for it and my wife and I were more comfortable on it for longer periods of time than any other motorcycle we had or probably ever have. The limited with a hammock seat was so comfortable that my wife would always fall asleep on long rides.

A seat change is cheaper than another bike.

My wife didn't like her Blackline seat but we fixed that and now, when I ride, she always goes if she's not working. We even went to west Texas, 550 miles and 10 hours. No problems. So get her to try some different seats.

Or get a new bike.

The beauty of the RKC is that it has got the same
frame as all of the touring bikes. Find out what your
wife likes and dislikes and build your bike to match.

You are looking at a grand for a tour pack and the fixings.

Def cheaper then going to an ultra.

That being said. If my wife gave the ok for an ultra limited and I could swing it I would do it. Lol.
