If you don't like where I park, stay off the damn sidewalk!

Seriously I try to park in normal car spaces but admit I have parked once or twice in the diagonal yellow line areas and once on a sidewalk next to someone else that did the same. My truck has shopping cart and door dings in it from asshats that don't care what they do to other vehicles and it pisses me off to no end. If I park the harley in a non official spot it's not because I'm too lazy to walk, I don't want it being damaged.

I manage 3 storage facilities and I have never towed anyone, warnings got the message to them. Fellow rider... uhh yeah right......
Nobody likes to see their motorcycles, cars, trucks, etc get all dinged up in a parking lot - especially those that take care of their rides. Between people opening their car doors, shopping carts flying around or kids skateboarding - unfortunately it's bound to happen - which is why I try to park as far away from everyone and walk further to the front door.

BTW - the area is clearly posted with no parking signs and the front desk manager informs their customers when they park on the sidewalks that they can't park there - it's usually the 20 yr old kid with the plastic jug filled with "water" riding the crotch rocket and the wife-beater t-shirt that does it anyway.

I never said I parked illegally... I'm just making an assumption based on how you posted in this thread. I assume you're also the guy who drives 10 under the speed limit holding up traffic, cussing those doing the speed limit as well correct?

Strange. I park my bike and walk away. How is it a "look at me" thing?

Your assumptions could not be more incorrect, this usually comes based on assuming things without knowing all the facts.

I have a job and that job is to manage the day to day operations of several multi-million dollar shopping centers for the Owner. Parking on a sidewalk is just plan lazy and when it's posted, which it is, it just shows ones ignorance as they KNOW they're in the wrong - ignorant people have little sympathy in my book.

The OP asked a question about parking on sidewalks - I answered my position - others forum members positions might vary and be different, they're entitled to their positions but (IMHO) taking the position that ones entitled to park on a sidewalk because they don't want to get their scoot dinged or because you saw someone else do it, sounds pretty silly when you say it out loud - it's like telling a cop you don't deserve a ticket for speeding because you saw others doing it...

I've said my piece - I'm done with this thread- do as you want

I get confused. People park on driveways. People drive on parkways.

So why can't people walk on the side so we can park on the sidewalk ?
