I have the in/lb from Craftsman and just picked up the ft/lb Kobalt on sale at Lowe's. Both perform well.

One thing I'll add about the Craftsmen (not sure if it's the same on other brands). They have a dual scale of both in/ft pounds and Nm.

Just bought me 2 Snap-on/CDI (Snap-on now owns CDI) 1/4 and 3/8 tw's off amazon. Used nothing but Snap-On when I worked for Boeing. Never any issues and for as much as we used them they were really dependable.

Regarding the earlier posts about what to torque fasteners and nuts to -- Boeing taught us to always use the midpoint of a torque range for two reasons: 1) you always give yourself wiggle room if you need to torque to a higher value - especially if quality wanted us to retorque to let them verify the torque, and 2) once you torque to the highest range the threads of the bolt and nut are stretched. To retorque to a lower range would require replacing the bolt and nut. So play it conservative and torque on the mid-range. JMHO

Default Harbor Freight Toque wrench sale.

As stated before...check out the Harbor Freight wrenches that are currently on sale for $9.99 with one of their coupons. (Coupons can be found in any Bike or Auto mag). I just bought all three of these with just one coupon yesterday in order to install my new slip-on mufflers

I bought a 1/2", 1/4 and a 3/8" from 5lbs to 200lbs foot pounds. Easy "click" style wrenches and they work better than my old Craftsman bar torque wrench.

Yes, they are not the best quality but for the amount of use that I will give them at that price they cannot be beat.
