I have never had a helmet stolen. I have had a pair of gloves walk off...If I park somewhere where I feel I need to lock up my helmet I always carry one of these...best helmet lock out there!

Many a time, I throw mine on the sissy pad. I have a helmet lock on the back side of the support. However what concerns me is a young person on a moped cutting the strap since a helmet without a strap is better then no helmet. Could leave you stranded. I am too old to worry about dollars but I do not want to ride home without one. If stopped, they will not let you ride away plus a ticket.

I knew you could a ticket but I didn't know they will not let you leave. That would suck.

I would feel uncomfortable riding home without one. So I carry it with me.

I don't usually lock my helmet but lock comes handy. Again they always can cut it, better than nothing.

I've ridden all up and down the east coast and have parked in cities and country towns. I always stick my helmet on my right mirror and have never had anyone F with it (or anything else on my bike for that matter). I only take it inside with me when I am stopping for the night.

It seems the favorite place to get your helmet stolen is at the Harley dealers parking lot. You have been warned. SJ Ron
