The jerk that ran his car into a bunch of Michigan bikers on their way home killing two of them was sentenced to 8 years in prison today. Pretty light sentence if you ask me.
WoW. Don't know what to think. It was a terrible accident. Part of me says it was an accident so we shouldn't throw his life away, and part of me says way too light of a sentence. I feel for the victims families. They are going to suffer the most.

BS, it was no accident. The driver of the cage was high on Oxycodone, crossed over the double yellow line and literally plowed into the group of motorcyclists. Look at the photos published with the newspaper article, the motorcycles involved were barely recognizable as motorcycles after the crash. The County Sheriff's Office found unused syringes in the car that caused the crash and let's not forget that there were three other motorcyclists severely injured including one victim that lost his leg in the crash.
In my opinion, I believe that the cager that caused this accident should have been charged with two counts of manslaughter, reckless endangerment, etc. etc. and been sentenced to 25 years behind bars minimum. By the way, I actually saw the crash scene last year during a visit to my Mother-in-Law who lives in Chilton, Wisconsin (Just North of Fond du Lac).

there are usually guidelines that the courts go by. 8 years sounds about right for vehicular manslaughter. cars, motorcycles, boats, or horses...the time is going to be the same. this is a motorcycle forum so a lot of guys are going to say that he got off light...that is to be expected. the judge did what he thought was right and within guide lines. the mode of transportation should not enter into the conversation. NO! HELL NO! THAT SUMB!TCH WAS HIGH WHEN IT HAPPENED!! They should throw that d!ck jockey in the tank and let his *** rot!!
Amen! Another miscarriage of Justice in America... I served with a Law Enforcement Agency in South Florida and saw way too many traffic crashes; and yes, we do call them crashes - not accidents. There are no accidents, when these things happen, it is because somebody screwed-up; and/or used very poor judgement.

He killed two people and injured three more because he was high. Even leaving the mode of transportation out of it, eight years still seems very lenient.
