i don't see a problem doing this if you want to. you have to back up and look at the bike from a distance to really notice what the back wheel looks like, Hell my wheel is normally pretty dirty anyway.
To me its gotta be done.
In the March edition of 'Baggers' mag there is a very nice Street Glide, 26in chrome front, stretched bags and fender etc, all very nice BUT running a stock rear wheel, total spoils the bike IMO, if your putting that much $$$ into a bike don't wreck it by cutting corners with the rear wheel thinking it can't be seen.... it can!
im sure there are plenty of people on the forums that are running with that 'mis-matched' combo. but hell, i would never point it out if i was in that category!
I plan on putting a match set on mine when I do it...but around here there are a bunch of guys running just the front...was just curious if it was something common every where

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
Last year I ordered a 21" front for my SG from HOGPRO. I had myself talked into believing that no one would see the rear and it wouldn't matter. 15 minutes after placing the order I called back and ordered the rear as well. Once they came in and were on the bike, I knew I had made the right choice. People say 'you can't see the rear anyway', but you can.
