Call Dunlop, they replaced mine last year. Many dealers don't have a clue on this issue, mine claimed it was the first time he'd heard about it. They wouldn't pay for install so I removed wheel and paid dealership to mount and balance.

it isn't up to hd whether or not to replace the tire. however, if you've only had the bike a short while, they should cover r&r. but if you've had it for over 6 months, you can probably expect to pay for r&r, but not the tire.

Thanks for the link. I will not refuse a free new tire but if I pay for the replacement it will not be OEM
Going for a cruise with a buddy yesterday and he noticed a crack in the sidewall of his front tire. Dunlop and OE on his 2011 Road Glide. 8700 miles on the tire. Plenty of tread left. He replaced it. Small world.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents since this just happened to me. This is an Avon Venom front tire. The shop where I purchased my tires closed down. So I went to Avon website and submitted an email of my issue. Without hesitation, they asked for pictures, and the DOT stamp digits on the tire. They are 4 digits, the first 2 being the week, the last 2 being the year the tire was manufactured. Once they had this info, they quickly sent me out a replacement. Hope this helps.
