went to hd today to look for a new jacket and a new vest,my old stuff is pretty beat up and needs to be replaced ... gotta be kidding me man 500+$'s for a jacket?? there was a traditional type jacket and it was made out of crap!! said made in china right inside on the tag.... needless to say i was very disappointed with the quality ... i tried on some other jackets and really liked the fxrg jacket?? dont know if thats correct.. man that was pretty nice , but when you take the jacket off , the liner in the sleeve gets all bunched up ... couldnt deal with that every time i had to take off the jacket but other than that the jacket was pretty nice ,except for the price which was around 565$'s... too much for me.... when i got home i called fox creek leather and ordered the tradition style jacket 1..... price was a little high but i am told they make a good product .. gotta be better than what i saw at hd... anyone have this jacket????? how do you like it??? am supposed to receive it by friday .... i hope all will be good
I think the quality of HD jackets ispretty good. Do a search on Fox Creek. They make top qaulity leather jackets and other stuff at a decent price. I have two jackets from them and highly recommend them. There aretons of threads on this.
Don't pay big dollars for made-in-Pakistan "Harley Motor Clothes" junk. Buy a topqualitymade-in-America"Fox Creek" or "Branded Leather" jacket for less money. I've been wearing the same Branded Leather jacket for 16 years and it's STILL a good jacket.
If you are set on a Harley jacket, go into the store, try some on, find the one you like, remember the name & size(all Harley jackets have names), then search for it on ebay. Because I work at a dealership, they like us to wear the clothes, no problem, except even with my discount, the jackets are expensive. I bought a Torque jacket on ebay for $160 US.I alsogot my daughter a very highend Harley jacket off of ebay(can't remember the name of that one) from Sun Harley Davidson in Colorado, it retailed for$499 US and I got it for$85 US. It was the last one and it was an xs and they just couldn't move it.
I have the FXRG jacket as well as the Fox Creek Classic II. They are both great the FC is much thicker leather (heavier). I think you will really enjoy the fox creek.

Soare all HD jacketsmade overseas now ?
My HD jacket ( basic skins purchased in 2000) is made in America .
Yes they have moved "off shore". Another one that shocked me was RedWing. When I bought a pair of Motorcycle boots the saleman said those are the last ones made in the USA, all the motorcycle boots will now be made "Off Shore".Their work boots are still made in the USA, I was told.
