If it's a very complicated city ride with a ton of turns, the wife will call out directions from her Android. Other than that, I write the directions on the back of my hands and use the old fashioned atlas.
Android smartphone with Google Maps. If you want waterproof go for a Samsung GS5 or Sony Experia. Both water proof. They can even make phone calls too.
I've got the same one! But she's my eyes, spotting street and places, while I'm looking for the goofballs, not seeing us.
I know mine does the same thing but she does have a keen way of telling me where the outlet malls are, I'm starting to think it's not a coincidence. For the most part I know where I'm going, if not the trusty OL just uses google maps on her iphone.
