Hey folks. I just picked my street glide and I am looking to buy a new GPS ( preferably garmin) I do not want to spend $400- $1000 on a GPS. Does anyone have any suggestions on what model is best for on a bike and can handle a little bit of rain?
I had the tom tom rider in Europe, Great piece of equipment. When I moved to Canada I sold it with the bike. So when i came to buy another one they dont sell them in Canada. I purchased the Garmin Zumo665LM Instead.
Mounted it centre of the console.
Bikes is in the shop. That is why it looks crappy at the moment. the left is the sirius XM GPS Antenna. the mount still needs to be painted

If you already have a smart phone just use the gps on it. Never had to do it yet because I rarely need a gps but if caught in the rain while using it I figured I'd put a baggie around it.
This. Costs no more than a few bucks. Keep it in a plastic bag if you're worried about rain.
What Tar said... I guess in my case getting lost is actually part of the fun...as is sitting down at the kitchen table with a pile of maps, a high-liter and a beer (and my 'cheater' glasses these days).
That said, a friend of mine uses a weatherproof Garmin on his Ultra...no idea what model.

Smart phone. I use google maps and plug it into my radio to get the turn by turn directions through my speakers. Works great and with verizon service I rarely ever drop signal. As a backup I have the Copilot app which downloads an always updating map to your phone where you don't need cell service to run. As a backup to my backup I always carry a small paper map.
