Default Windshield in sight line

Just picked up my RK Classic on Friday. I have about 280 miles on it right now.
The top of the windshield is directly in my line of sight in a hard lean or when coming up on a hill.
I'm getting used to it but was wondering if this is something that I should adjust for safety?
Thanks

Sounds like you might want to cut it down just a little bit.

I am 6"2", and installed the 2" taller windshield on my RKC to fix that very problem.

To each his own on this. Most will advise you to have your windshield height so you cansee over it. My stock windshield had the same problems as yours. This was really a safety issue especially at night. I nowhave one for winter that I look through and one for summer that I look over. Looking throughthe windshield has it's downfalls. Frost, fog and rain are a few.

I ran into that problem when I exchanged my Sundowner for a Mustang seat. The mustang raised me about an inch so that I was eye level with my HD windshield (I like to look thru Vs over). It annoyed the heck out of me, I was constantly trying to adjust my head to get that damn shield tip out of my direct view. The other problem is that that's where there's the most distortion. I wound up ordering a replacement shield from Cee Baileys Aircraft Co. They make replacement shields that fit to all HD hardware. I ordered the extra 2 inch height shield and it worked perfectly. Best part it was cheaper than HD replacements and it was better quality (slightly thicker material. It shipped in a few days and installation was a piece of cake. As for safety, most recommend you look over the shield in case of rain, etc. But I can always lift my head up if I need to look over the shield, plus I don't find it hard to see thru the shield in rain (happened the other day). Maybe if you ride on long trips you might want the shield lower. Hmmm, sounds like a good question for another thread.

I like my windscreen to be about even with my chin when i'm seated on the bike -BELOW my line of sight...Getting caught in thefoghas you blinded completely, even rain isn't fun if the windscreen is in your line of sight. Wind buffeting is still minimal with it at chin level.
