Hello, I registered here a while ago after I purchased my 05 Night Train. I've been pretty much lurking here ever since.
When I purchased my bike, I had the dealer put on SEIIs and the Race Tuner. After the installation and receiving my bike, shouldn't they have given me the Race Tuner, disk, cables, and manual that came with the tuner? I thought is was mounted on the bike until I just read a thread about the Race Tuner not being mounted on the bike like the PCIII. How would I prove that I never received it? Thanks in advance.
I think you have about $350.00 worth of parts and software coming to you. When I had my 95" big bore done this summer, I had the SERT unit installed and I got just that, the cables, manuals, CD, the whole kit. That way, if I ever need to have the SERT changed, I can do it myself with my own laptop.
I'd call the dealer ASAP and demand your parts or your money back, you paid for it.
For sure you need and you have paid for what they didn't give you. You need that cable, because once the RT is installed, it is married to that bike and the only way to update or change maps is with that cable. When you purchased it did they not give you a sale slip?
I don't understand why you guys like fool injection so much. This story is another reason why I will NEVER buy a FI bike. To bad HD is fazing out the carb. Oh well, looks like my next bike will be a custom.
