I have an arai helmet. Never wore it on the harley but all the time on the ZX6R. Get it. Very well worth the money. My head doesnt whip around and the air flow is amazing. Noise reduction is ok. Ive done 160 with that helmet and my head stayed still. Now if the helmet does good at that speed right up front of the bike its gotta be good for a cruiser. Plus arai is very well known and sworn by by professionals. In my opinoun youll love it.I bought a peice of junk AFX and it was horrible. just go aweful. Head whipped around, noisy as all get out. I went to an arai and it blew me away. Very firm type feel around your face. GET IT!!!

I have a Road Glide with a full-height windshield.

I use an Arai Signet-Q, and normally ride with the face shield all the way up, or just slightly "down".

For speeds under 60+, it's actually quieter with the shield UP, than it is with the shield in the down position...

Hubs bought me a RX-Q for Christmas and I love it. Lighter for sure than my old one. I asked for the aluminum silver cuz silver goes with everything. I don't have any issues with it venting riding in an upright position. He got a great deal on his Corsair bc he needed a XXL that he bought on closeout in the diamond white color. Both are great helmets IMO.

I love my Shoei Qwest. I looked at the Arai helmets at my local dealer, but they were significantly more money (about $750) than my Shoei. They are great helmets for sure, but my $450 Shoei will have to do.

I love my Arai Signet Q. Only thing I could find that didn't give me headaches just trying them on. Every other helmet I had to go up a size because of my egg head. It vents great on my Road King with the windshield on. I do keep the shield up and wear sunglasses until I get up to highway speeds most of the time. I hadn't thought about taking the shield off until reading this thread...I might try that.

Go find someplace local that has then and try them on. With the different head shape you really want the right fit. The Rx-Q and Signet Q fit completely different.

Check your head with a tape measure and find a helmet that is comfortable in the size you're supposed to wear...IE my head measured just under 59cm which is a large in almost all helmets, but most I had to find a 2x just to keep from getting headaches. After trying on several different Shoei helmets I had a raging headache and a big red mark on my forehead. When the guy at the shop saw the big red mark on my forehead says "oh...you have an arai head"

Once you find the one you want, order it online! The Signet Q is 548$ most places online, but 700+ in stores where I could find it. I'm still bummed that Todd from The Helmet Harbor closed his shop, I got mine from him for under 500$

My head is 60cm, which should be a large size for a signet-q, but for whatever reason a medium fit me better with no pressure points. The corsair v put pressure on my forehead. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'm thinking I should go all black and get the signet-q in matte black, but the more colorful lids would provide better visibility for the road. Plus they do look cool.

White is very visible.
Arai has "plain white" and something called "Diamond White" which has more "texture" in it.
The plain white is the cheapest. It does the job, and you don't really see that it doesn't have fancy paint when it's sitting on your head...

If you want extra-visibility, they do have a flourescent one available !

I'm a Full Face kinda guy and I wear a Shoei. I would be wearing an Arai otherwise.
