Also, to the OP. As far as helmets that are designed for a more tucked position... I have a Shoei RF1200 which is designed for a tuck position. You can definitely feel a difference in airflow through the top of the helmet at speed when you look down. If I start to get too hot I just tuck my head for a few miles. However, the airflow is so good normally sitting that I don't have to do that often. Only on really hot days.

Default Forget the vanity aspect

Most of the guys I ride with use a Snell approved FF or 3/4, its what you like. I use both. I use a Shoei st1100 FF and real dont care who thinks what, I also have an HD Jet 3/4. Funny thing is, a lot of guys in NJ use a 1/2 or 3/4 BUT when I rode in northern California, most guys wore a FF. Its your head, no one elses.. AND Arai make s a great helmet..

Ok, you are forgiven lol.

I wear an arai full face, a bell modular, and a harley branded HJC mushroom helmet. I don't care wtf other riders think, I love my full face helmets, rain drops on your face at 60 mph hurt lol

Maybe you need to stop worrying what others do.

I don't mind logos. I do mind big logos. See a big Harley logo on my bike?

A better choice is the Signet Q or Quantum Q (depending on your head shape) designed for the street instead of the track, the vents flow better at highway (as opposed to racetrack) speeds and the vents are positioned for a sit up riding position, not a racer's crouch.

There is no better helmet than an Arai. Make sure to try on what your buying and work with a dealer to make sure the cheek pads are a good fit. They are replaceable.

I've had a Shoei RF1000 for about 4 years now, and next year I'm probably going to be getting an Arai.

Arai makes just about the best helmet money can buy, next to Shoei. You can't go wrong with either brand.

As another poster on this thread mentioned, the SHOEI QWEST is a good choice. This model was designed for cruiser and touring riders in mind. Designed for optimal airflow in an upright position. There is a video for this helmet on you tube or their site. You can usually pick one up on sale for about $330. I think that is a little less expensive than an ARAI and still a top quality helmet.

I'll try that but then again I have the shield up often and wear sunglasses.

Also it depends entirely on the bike/windshield and aero based on all the shields and arm height/position.
