I have a 2014 Arai Signet-Q and a 2013 Arai CT-Z. They both work fine on my Ultra Classic. Prior to these, I had the Arai Quantum (full face) and Classic (3/4) on an Ultra Classic as well. Mine all came from J&M with the electronics built in.

The top vents don't work quite as well behind a fairing, but there's no reason you can't wear these helmets on a cruiser.

Where whatcha like & what is comfortable for you. I rawk a Shoei RF-1000, replete with Kawi green graphics. If it offends the sensibilities of those far, far cooler than I, then I simply consider it an extra F-you feather in my cap.

I use a RX-Q. I used to have a Corsair V when I had my streetbike. I switched to the RX-Q because the forward vents on the Corsair V sucked in an upright riding position. The ventilation was terrible. The RX-Q is awesome and so are the new Defiant helmets. I tried to make mine look a little more Harley.

I had an Arai RX7 Corsair RR3 helmet back in '04 when I had my SV650. It was a very comfy helmet. If I needed a FF helmet, I would buy one again without doubt. I always recommend trying different brands depending on your head shape. Like skull said, Arai's do fit us egg heads really well.

I wanted an Arai; but I now wear glasses and it's too much of a pain with a FF, so I got a Schuberth modular. Comfy, quiet and light...supposed to be decent quality

I have an Arai Vector 2 and it's been great. Very lightweight, and the face shield mechanism is slick once you figure out how to use it. It's flat black, so it looks right at home with the bike.

I have a Signet-Q in sapphire silver. Probably not the "the" helmet to wear on a Harley but I really don't care. It is comfortable, quiet and I think the brighter color makes it easier for people in cars to spot.

To the OP:

Be aware that different model Arai helmets are designed for different head shapes.

Two Arai's, similarly priced, same color -- may fit entirely different on your head.

I have a Signet-Q which is the "long oval" shape, and it fits me fine.

Not an Arai, but I tried on a Shoei "Quest" and found the fit very similar.
If you go helmet hunting, and like the fit of the Signet-Q, you might try the Quest for comparison...

Insofar as color is concerned, I -might have ordered- the flourescent yellow color, but it was out-of-stock for a long time, so I bought plain white instead. Certainly not snazzy, but white is very "visible" out on the street. Arai also makes a variation called "Diamond White", which is nice, also.

I recommend if you have a shop near you that specializes in helmets, with knowledgeable staff, visit it.

My understanding is, the arai street helmets, including corsair v, venting is optimized for a sport bike rider, with head tilted forward. The shoei rf1200 vent at top center is supposed to work well with both our helmet position and sport bikes.

I just recently bought an arai xd4, and love it. It's a dual sport helmet, but I use without the visor, and with the shield. Designed for an upright sitting position, excellent venting, with huge field of vision, removable liners for washing. Made to handle being hot and sweaty offroading, which i felt should be good for Arizona heat. It looks sort of mean too.

With all that venting, It is not super quite though. Quietest you'll want the shoei.

OOOOOH, I might get a double frying pan. I took nearly all the Harley branding off my bike as well as my helmet.

I like the fact that people have no clue my helmet was expensive.
