It's hard on the sinuses too, it goes up one nostril and out the other! And even caved in one of my BOOM! speaker tweeter pod bubbles.
Dang! That is harsh. 15 years in Longmont, got so I'd just stay off I-25 when the wind was howling, and take 287 north or south. A lot better wind break, and gas mileage,on a scoot.
Just got back from our annual Laughlin trip from San Diego. On the way out we had a pretty steady 15 mph tail wind. Felt like we were riding in Heaven. Bikes felt strong, got great mileage, could hear the stereo easily, little throttle needed, even at 80 MPH and the bikes handled like a dream.
On the way home, we hit some headwinds going through the pass to Palm Springs. Whole nother story there. Got buffeted by side winds that had us super focused on staying in our lanes. Switched from staggered to single file. Our street glide fairing provided pretty good protection from the stuff blowing around, but we paid the price for our smooth cruising on the way out....just the way it is.
Same here, except from Vegas and back friggin wind both ways, it pretty muched sucked. Laughlin weather was awsome on Saturday.
