Default Advice

Hi I just bought a set of Samson Big gun 3 Ripsaws for my Heritage Classic and the HD dealer said I need to put in a Race tuner along with the Stage 1 air cleaner. I was talking to a few friend and they had mentioned something about a power commander which would be cheaper.what is the diffrence between the two and which would be better. Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Default RE: Advice

I just heard that Dynojet released a PC that makes use of the O2 sensors, if that is true I would go with a PC, if not from what I understand the SERT is the way to go but it is a lot more expensive. As far as an A/C either the SE or a Ness big sucker 1 would be the cheapest two as they use your stock cover. Probably get away with a new A/C for less that $150. I'm not sure on the PC or SERT, I think SERT is just shy of $500 and the PC is around $300.

The reason you need these is for the increased air flow as a result of less restrictive pipes. If you don't get them the bike will run lean and hot. The A/C will help it get more air in and the SERT or PC will adjust the fuel/air mixture. I myself have PC and I love it.
