after researching exhaust for the last 2 months, you helped me decide over night. i took your advice and looked at the bassani and supertrapp websights and fell in love with those bassani pro streets. i own anighttrain so im going with the black ceramic ones. NOW, can you recomend me an air cleaner? se or ness big sucker? remember my engine is stock and efi. and will i need a powercomander? or will the download be fine?
My suggestion for the air cleaner is to get one with as big of an air filter element as possible to reduce potential for restriction. I personally hate downloads, The Powercommander or SERT or something similiar is the lesser of the "FI" evils presently available.
The harley downloads are CRAP. Both the SERT and PCIII are very good pieces of equipment. I personally like the SERT better because of the broader tuning range, but to each his own. You will be a happy camper when you are done.

Yeah, I also agree with Terry on this. I normally only recommend the Powercommander when I think its ease of use will be a bigger benefit to the end user over the added flexibility of the SERT. SERT's do have a learning curve thats steeper than the PCIII and more dealerships and independents seem to be able to use the PCIII easier with better results. If you plan on doing all this yourself and computer programs dont daunt you, by all means go with the SERT. Just be sure to get a DTT WEGOII and Twin Scan 88+ tool to help you dial it in.
im considering one of those 'cone shaped" air cleaners that are about 600 bucks, they claim 20% more air intake than a se or ness is that gonna make a big deal? what about the ness big sucker stageII 8 inch air cleaner?
