Possible purchase may need inspection Rockford Michigan
Hi I'm not that active on the forums. But hopefully someone could possibly help
I'm looking to purchase A vrod that's located in Rockford Michigan. Are there any members that could possibly take a look at the bike for me it's a 2013 vrod night rod
Not trying to be Captain Obvious but IIWY, I would hire a professional to do a pre-purchase inspection. A stranger on the forum may not have the same eye for things you do. And if the stranger missed something during the inspection, how do you seek recourse from the stranger? And if the stranger were somehow injured during the pre-purchase test ride, would you be liable for the injuries and damages?
A round trip plane ticket from NY to MI might also cover the cost of hiring a motorcycle apprasier as well. Go look at it yourself.
Another alternative is to post the info you have about the V-Rod here, many online forum appraisers will give you an opinion.
Why won't the current owner take it to Grand Rapids Harley Davidson (shameful plug ,I know) and pay to have the bike "certified". Then hopefully recoup the inspection cost in the sales. A potential buyer could appreciate this.
The bike does have a existing warranty and that's a great idea about getting the bike certified My work schedule really doesn't allow time for travel ect.
