Default New-ish member, finally finished first bike

Hey everyone.

Made a thread a few months ago, bought my first bike late last year. It was wrecked, laid down on its left side. Knew I was going to change most of the stuff on it, so I'll toss up some before and after pictures now that it's almost ready to hit the road.

Wanted to keep it relatively tame for my first Harley (not first motorcycle) so I stayed with the 96", Fueling Reaper 543 cams, V&H Shortshots, K&N filter and backplate, and deciding on a tuner this weekend (any recommendations from those with a similar setup?). Bike is going through its salvage inspection on Tuesday and I'll be on the road after that.

Aside from the engine, the obvious parts are forwards, 13" bonanza bars, grips, levers, pegs, mirrors, etc., powder coated the tail light, horn and sissy bar (not pictured), LED front and rear signals, 35w 6000k HID headlight, new Dunlop rubber, and whatever other small stuff it needed to be road ready.

Thanks for all the helpful info all over this forum, between this place and my factory service manual I can't begin to imagine how much money I've saved.

You will fail your salvage inspection with that bald front tire...

6 gun - It's an 09, the 07 in my username comes from my old college campus ID. Haha

Chickin - So far I just want it on the road. Every time I look at the bike I see something I'd like to change and another mod I'd like to add, but as it is, the wallet dictates how far I can go. Might just ride it as-is this season and decide over the winter what direction I'd like to go. I either want to keep this bike as one I can take trips on (add bags, maybe slightly taller shocks, fairing, etc.), or slam it, turn it into a bar hopper, and buy a bagger for next year. Who knows.

themouth - You are very right. That picture was taken before the new rubber was put on though. That particular picture was taken on a day after I finished adjusting all the cables and clutch. Went out of the driveway, down the road, and turned right back around. Just wanted to make sure it shifted without issue and felt good taking off.

If I was you and I could afford it, I'd slam the heck out of it into
an around town bar hopping mother bear, and buy a wrecked
Road King to build up like you just did this Dyna. Now If you do
buy a wrecked Road King I hope its not an 07 burgundy and cream
RKC with a built 103.

I've always liked the look of the Burly Slammer kit, and I've got a '13 Road King in the shop right now that was bumped in the rear.. It's a tempting situation I've got myself in. Haha

I hope I don't come across your bike either man.
