Springsteen was playing about an hour from home tonight, so I decided to catch the show and take the bike.
Taking the bike to a concert is a great way to go IMO. I rode the shoulder the last few miles and bypassed all of the traffic. Rode over the curb at a handicap ramp and got into the parking lot free, and found a nice place to park right next to the stadium.
Leaving after the concert was also a breeze and I finagled my way around most of the traffic then too. I had the tunes cranked up on the ride home. The turnpike was clear and wide open. I did about a 30 mile stretch without even touching the handlebars once.
Just a great night all around. In Bruce's words. "Baby I was Born to Run!"
I used to ride the T-Pike from New York down into Philly all the time.

Out where the great black rivers flow
License, registration: I ain't got none
But I got a clear conscience `bout the things that I done
Mister state trooper, please don't stop me
Please don't stop me, please don't stop me

Man that's great. Describes my ride home tonight perfectly. Was a fine mist in the air that made everything wet, yet wasn't raining. So dark, the air cool and crisp, but not cold. The engine humming at 80 mph.

We have a amphitheater here where you can park your bike down by the stage or choose a campsite to spend the night within the property- just like the 60s and 70s.
Last time I went Steppenwolf, Nazareth, Iron Butterfly, and Randy Bachman was playing.
John Kay had us fire up our bikes and rev them before playing, 'Born to be Wild".
Ridiculous . . so you once enjoyed his music, BUT then decided you didn't, simply because he has different political views than you? sheesh man, you sound like one more cliche chest pounding Harley right wing whackadoo!
