Hey guys, wanted to get an idea of proper etiquette as far as patches on vests. A buddy of mine recently had (2) new patches put on his vest. The issue is it is in a 3 pc configuration on the back.
The top reads "Air Force"
The bottom reads "verteran"
In the middle there is a large Willie G Harley skull.
He has no club affiliations at all.
Do guys in MC's consider this a (3)pc rocker? Is it inappropriate at all?
While I personally don't see the point of trying to make a vest and patches look like a 3pp MC cut (unless you are in a club), nobody is going to bust his ***** about them.
If it's not a club patch, why should it bother anyone? I've got a USMC center logo and Vietnam Vet top rocker and I never even think about it bothering anyone.
Thanks guys... I appreciate the input.
He wasn't worried about it it was more me and being curious. His intent wasn't to look like an MC, he is very proud of his military career and wants to show it is all.

I guess this has been brought up before? Sorry if it annoys I just don't want my verteran friend getting hassled.
Just curious as to the why of the configuration? (Honest Question)
Seems like the "Lone Wolf, No Club Patch"
I dont follow why some wanna configure to appear to be something they are not.
Course I dont understand the SOA T-shirt wearers either, or those wearing configurations of entities they try to bust/ arrest/ hassle et al. 24/365, but pretend to be on the weekends.
My guess is that given the scenario you discribed he should be ok, if he gets hassled at all it would more likely be from attitude and demeaner rather than the patches as you described, however though, the actual people that can answer your inquiry dont spend alot of time as keyboard commandos surfing internet forums, so with my thoughts and $1.50 you can buy a cup o' joe, read "take with a grain o' salt."
