I like the fixed blades you made, very nice looking! Ive thought about doing that myself. Did you make the sheaths too? Im really intrigued by knife making. I just need to give it a shot.
glide2meetu mentioning the Buck 110 set my mind back to high school. I had forgot all about that knife.
Had it on my belt everyday, in tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade.
Don't remember ever using it.
Had to do a little searching to find it. The blade still looks brand new. The brass was all covered in green tarnish.
A little polish and a sharpening. I'm looking forward to carrying it again.
I carry this on my right hip in a sheath everyday here in sacramento. I'll be honest I have no idea if it is legal or not. I have had buddies say it is, but I have never been stopped and found out. It's a 6" blade length, and some day it could cause me issues with Leo's but to be honest there have been more times than I can count when I was glad I had it on me. Never pulled it on anyone but with its look and the visibility of the fixed blade people usually rethink what they are about to do when they see it.
What about a smaller fixed blade, belt or neck carry. The ESEE Izula II is a great knife. They carry well, stay good and sharp and come with a lifetime warranty. No explanation needed. If you break it, they send you a new one. I've used mine for gutting a few deer and although a touch small, it did the job with no other complaints.
