Here in MN you are allowed to go after 2 complete traffic cycles, but make damn sure you have a clear path first.

Got lit up by the local Sheriff last night at 10:45. Asked if I knew why.
"No."
"Following too close" to car car that wasn't even close to the 40MPH limit.
"Ok." (I was at least a car length back and finally went around on the right because I knew they weren't going to go any faster up the next hill.)
"Your papers, please" (sic)
"Where were you coming from?"
"An AA party."
The look on his face was priceless.
"I bet they don't serve booze at an AA party, do they?"
"Nope."
He checks out my stuff comes back and asks how long I've been sober.
Hands me my papers and tells me to be careful that late as there are a lot of drunks out at that time of night and it's dangerous to be on a bike.
I think perhaps that i was profiled. Maybe.

Most of the times I've been pulled on a bike, I had it coming. Hell, one NCSHP trooper let me go with a warning after for doing 90+ mph as I was passing on a double yellow.

That said, I have gotten one totally bogus ticket on my old Sportster. I-95 South, Wilson County, NC, 10:30 at night in the rain. Some ******* kept tailgating me. I'd speed up a bit to get around the car in front of me & get back over to the right. Here comes ******* tailgater again. After about the 4th time, the ******* tailgating my hits his blue light. Effing NCSHP trooper. MFer had the gall to write me for 75 in a 65 after crawling up my *** for the last few miles in the rain. What'd the sumbitch expect me to do?

Three years ago.
Sunday morning, country road, no traffic whatsoever.
But wait, there is a cop sitting behind bushes.
Got pulled over. 67, speed limit is 55.
I'm 6'2", white. The local cop is 5'2" ... not caucasian, does not respond to my greeting ...
What's your guess, did I get a ticket?

Yeah, I've had cops pull that stunt on me more then once while in the cage. Tagged the brakes once, and he pulled me over all pissed off. I asked him if he saw the dog that ran out in front of me, lol. He said be careful and that was it.

Make one follow you for 1/2 a mile till you can pull into somewhere with lots of people around and it's well lite then tell them you feared for your life cause they were tailgating so close you couldn't see the lights . Passive aggressive and it will buy you the full monty grilling but damn it's satisfying on a lot of levels when you know it's a bullshit stop .

I have a couple of Buddies that are Local LEO's...they say most of the time they will allow 10 over the posted speed...sometimes 15...one told me for the most part they will leave bikes alone unless they are doing something really stupid...
