I've never been "pulled over" but I have had "discussions" with cops while on my bike twice.
First time I was riding down the street I lived on after a store run, and I was doing about 60. A block from my house, I shot past a cop who was waiting at a red to turn left onto my street. By the time he caught me, I had already gotten home, pulled into the back lot, parked, unloaded my saddlebag and was half way up my steps. He asked me how fast I thought I was going and I told him 35 (remember I was actually doing 60), and we proceeded to get into a discussion 25 or 35 was the speed limit due to being unmarked, and only semi-residential. We went in circles about that point so long he got another called and he gave me a warning not to speed. No ticket!
Another time when I was prospecting for my club, I was followed for about 8 blocks by the local County Sheriff (I live in an unincorporated town so that is our 'local' cops), but his lights never came on and I never did anything to cause an issue. I pulled into the parking lot of my local Taco Bell (where I was headed) and he followed me in. He parked as I did and came up to me as I was getting off my bike and started asking me questions about the club. I literally just stared at him and didn't respond to anything he said. He finally said he was just 'curious' and to have a nice day.
I was also stopped in Laconia for flipping my sunglasses up to read a street sign because it got dark out any they were the olny glasses I had. Once for speeding while I was building my bike I took it out for a test ride and the speedo was on back order so I just had to guess how fast I was going I guessed wrong. And the last time was really strange I was pulled over in Texas for not wearing a helmet and Texas doesnt have a helmet law.
The 73 Sportster got pulled over a few times usually in NJ at the beach areas. Got the ol nightstick up the pipe, but I had 2 bolts 3" in. from the end. Most of it was to stop me and admire the bike.. The Electraglide I get nothing but "waves", except for the roadblocks in the middle of the day
Stopped one time for turning right on red, just a warning, and several times at Hogrock, and the Old Shawneetown Street Rally for " insurance card check".
The MC that I was in wore a support patch for a 1% club (that's how it is in TX unless you're an AMA club ), we got pulled over by local LEO often. Oddly enough the State Troopers DPS rarely stopped us.
At one stop a younger cop told me that he stopped us because of the color (Red/Gold) of the patch.
I asked if that was a violation of some type, he replied that it was all that he could see from across the interstate. They usually just asked if we had insurance.
I found over the years...The less of a smart a** that you are, the quicker you can be on you're way. That's just the way it is.....
about 8 years ago I was on a v-star 1100 my boy was on a 82 v65. 78 in a 55. turned onto highway and we passed a truck. He said by the time we backed out of it we were doing 78, just a verbal warning for us both

Two weeks ago by a sheriff's deputy for doing 60 in a 45 between Fountain Hills and Rio Verde. They watch this stretch occasionally when the retiree's in Rio Verde complain about speeders. I kissed his butt, yes sir, I was wrong sir, I always vote for Sheriff Joe sir, may I spit shine your shoes sir, blah blah. He let me off with a warning and we started talking bikes, he was thinking of buying a softail or a RK.
