Once in NM for lane splitting (illegal there) and just got a warning. Second time for "equipment inspection". Apparently the bike and I passed his standards as I was on my way ten minutes later.

I've been riding Harleys over 40 years. Back in the 70's I was riding a rigid framed Pan with a 16 over springer front end and straight pipes. I got stopped every single time I went out. One day I pulled out of my driveway, got less than one block and got pulled over. When the cop came over I was laughing like a loon. He asked me what was so funny and I told him he broke the record, I didn't get 50 feet out of my driveway this time. He thought it was funny also and checked my papers and drove away. I haven't been stopped on a bike in probably 20 years since.
Now I'm riding a box stock Road king. There is an area near my home that has a large traffic circle with a gas station. Every Saturday and Sunday about a hundred rice riders congregate there and ride the traffic circle like a race course.
One morning I was heading out for a ride and came through the circle and took the road north for a ride through the mountains. I was traveling up a short incline in the road and was rolling on the throttle when I suddenly saw a County cop car stopped on the left side of the road. I guess he was there to catch the rice riders as they screamed north out of the traffic circle. He saw the single headlight and jumped out of his car and ran into the roadway. I said to myself well he got me......I slowed prepared to stop, he gave me a once over and waved me on. I just nodded thanks and rode off.

Many times.... hell 6 times in the past 5 years.
Two for speeding, 1 dismissed
Three profiling stops w/o cause
Once in a pack where we were followed on IH10 by air patrol in Louisiana then pulled over by 3 patrol cars and told to leave the state, which we were trying to do anyway.
I was also stopped in Laconia for flipping my sunglasses up to read a street sign because it got dark out any they were the olny glasses I had. Once for speeding while I was building my bike I took it out for a test ride and the speedo was on back order so I just had to guess how fast I was going I guessed wrong. And the last time was really strange I was pulled over in Texas for not wearing a helmet and Texas doesnt have a helmet law.
Texas has a helmet law. 97.347653% of Tx riders either dont know the law or get the facts wrong.
