Wearing Chaps?
I know chaps serve a purpose but I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing those things. A pair of long johns and jeans is all I need to keep my legs warm. For some reason I think of "The Village People" when I see a guy wearing them. Now a babe with a nice **** wearing them is a whole different story.
Some people might say that I'm a babe with a nice ****...

Of course, then we're back to that whole Village People scenario again.
I did not need that image!
As soon as I find a good deal on a pair that aren't made out of paper, I'll be getting a set. I need them before it cools off. I have to wear khakis to work, so it will be gettin' chilly on the ride in here shortly.
And you talk about a fashion statement... leather jacket and chaps w/ khakis and a polo shirt. Dang why can't I wear jeans and a t-shirt to work? Do khakis really make me smarter???[:@]
From what I've seen $100 seems to be about what what I'm expecting for a good pair. I've seen cheaper ones, but they don't look like they are worth the money. And one good pair should last me for a long time to come.

To answer your question, like most others here I wear them in cooler weather. I don't much like the biker badass look. They do however sure keep the wind out. Cntryfun, I quoted you so I could tell you about Bikers Choice. I paid 110 for mine (on sale at local shop) and they are real thick, but comfortable. Just wanted to give a heads up, thought it might help.
