I have been contemplating Kevlar Jeans as well. As for impact protection, a pair of the Bohn protective pants worn under the jeans would provide a total protection package. I am looking into that as well.
Been down with chaps on,belts were ripped off on impact, ending up around my knees. Not thrilled with the performance. I have Draggin' jeans, and Xelement armored jeans, with the armor taken out, that crap is too bulky. Leather over pants are superior to chaps,no wet crotch, and having been down in heavy denim pants, they're adequate protection. Dress for the ride, not the crash.
My wife and I both have a pair of Draggin Jeans and Diamond Gusset Defenders. Although the Diamond Gussets are more expensive, my wife and I both find them to be the most comfortable.
FYI - Diamond Gusset is having a 22% off sale for Father's Day. Diamond Gusset
Overpants in Kevlar from Motoport.
They are made in kevlar, the entire fabric is kevlar not just the stitching. Top for safety, the mesh is very cool in summer and with the liners they are great for rain and/or cold in winter. Underneath you can wear whatever you want , jeans or shorts. I have the matching jacket too.
Both made to measure, take some time to be produced and a bit pricey too, but it's a 4 season item with unmatched safety and wearability during hot summer days.
The only kevlar overpants I could find on this site were in the dirt bike section, and were for girls and shown in different blends of colors, none black or regular denim look. Not for me. I`m willing to spend the money only on something I would wear.
