Last little trip I took had the tool bag out 3 times , once to fix a mirror , redo the headlight ring and tighten up a saddlebag support . To bad it was 2 different twin cams I worked on
Did use the old ladies tampon to do a fast fix on a leaking fork seal on the shovel once ....
Don't flinch I tie-stamped a section of towel..Black! ON THE LEFT FORK.
Bikes are bikes as far as i'm concerned and will acknowledge all those that ride. I do have a line and wont wave to mopeds not sure what it is but just cant. They are riders too. i guess i'm just a little douchy
I'm with you on this. We have hundreds of tourists on 49cc mopeds here, no license or training required. In fact, most wear flip-flops, shorts, t-shirts or no shirts, and usually no helmet, maybe sunglasses. Oh yes, they are also restricted to the bike lane. It's not unusual to see a conga line of 5 to 15 in the bike lane going who knows where for who knows why. There are also locals who use them as cheap, basic transportation which I completely understand with Regular Gas at about $4.50 a gallon. In short, gasoline is about a dollar more a gallon here then on the Mainland... Ride Safe - Ride Smart and Smile (Wave) to others whatever they're on (OK maybe not Mopeds, although it would probably make their day) especially if you're on a Harley.

I once used a bobby pin to hold a needle valve in place on a Hollly 750 double pumper on my 71 Roadrunner. But now I'm off topic......
You know, I honestly can't remember. The time I mentioned I used one would have been around 75-76. I also remember using those huge "pads" for waxing the car, had 2 older sisters. But probably best we not go there

Why the hell does anyone want to converse with anyone else when out and about on a daily routine just because you are on a motorcycle. Sure don't do it when in my car or truck. When walking near someone or should they be approaching, to me it's only natural to acknowledge them and maybe say "hello, how you doing, etc". and all that bs, but I don't expect a conversation to start nor am I looking for it. If you are wanting conversation join a social club.
