Things are worth what your willing to pay. Are you willing to pay that? I paid 6 grand for my 2002 wide glide with 16000 on the clock so at first thought the fat boy doesn't sound out of ball park for description u provide. After buying a bike of that age myself, they can look good and have hidden problems. Age becomes a factor more than miles. 7k miles in 13 years mean ALOT of sitting. sitting around is the worst thing for a machine IMO.
Don't let me scare ya though....May be a great bike! Just look it over real good and don't be surprised if you find a few fixes needed due to age. I bought a older bike because I wanted simplicity and a carburetor I can fix myself instead of computer gadgetry.
When I looked at mine I got so excited I missed a few things. Carb was leaking gas, exhaust missing a bracket, only one throttle cable. But stupid me got it all fixed and enjoying the hell out of it. Moral of the story.....take your time

Thanks, Johnny. Believe me, I'll check it thoroughly. Hoping they started her up regularly though. I bought a 2000 FLSTS two years ago with 4K on her. Never had a problem, but the guy kept it garaged, fuel stabilizers, and started it up fairly often. Shouldn't have ever sold her!
JMO, but around here the 2003 anniversary models don't bring any more money than other years. Not sure but I think 2002 was the last year before MOCO went to Chinese bearings from Timkin.
