Can you rigid mount a rubber mount 96 or 103 with an adapter plate?
Plans to build another Chopper, Looking for engines now. I've heard you can mount a twin cam in a Evo frame with the adapter plate, but would that be for only non-B motors?
More questions on the way.....
Thanks,
Nate
Buddy did it with an early 88" twinkie motor the non counter balanced one, was a cast alum adapter of some kind in a slung & stretched evo softail aftermarket frame.
I built this sweet little softail in 2002 using a 88" 'A' engine from HD of West Virginia. Frame from Mid West. Used the adapter plate. RevTech 6 speed tranny. Mikuni 42 mm flat slide carb. Dyna Tech ignition. Thunder header. Ran like a bat out hell. Sold it. Still kicking myself in the ***.
Was that twin cam engine fuel injected or carbureted to begin with?
How was the vibration in the bars? Would you be able to mount a 96" or 103" non counter balanced with the adapter plate as well? "in an evo mount frame"?
Also looking for more info about converting a fuel injected twin cam to a carbureted one...Any thoughts are appreciated....
