What matters is your riding, and still in the wind and in comfort. Enjoy life do what you want to do, hell my friend just bought a three wheeler. He is only 46.
Probably need to buy used because a new trike is damn expensive but yes, would definitely go the trike route if my knees get too much worse. Right now loving the King.
Heck I would ride a trike now if I could afford one. I can't afford a used one either. I don't have a need for the 2 wheels, it's being outside that matters to me. I could ride a big tri glide and be happy as a pig in ....
I'm almost there now. After my accident my leg is pretty rough. It's getting to be a chore just hold up my bike now. Trike might just be my next bike. I rode one and really enjoyed it, and the extra confidence it gave me too was nice. It's either that or not ride,so I'll take a trike no question about it.

Like I said it's my personal choice , never said it should be anyone elses so lighten up francis.....
Just having handle bars is not enough for me. I ride because I enjoy the physics of being on two wheels, the ability to squeeze out a long sweeper leaned over. Nothing on wheels matches the physics of riding a motorcycle. Maybe a Paggio..
A Trike seems to eliminate everything I have and still do enjoy about riding a bike and something I view as a sort of motorized biker wheel chair who still want in the club. I cannot see how it can be anything like riding a motorcycle. I rode one recently and it seemed like it locked me up and handcuffed me from actually riding. I don't "get it" I guess
When my time comes to hang up riding on two, I will enjoy being in the wind in a convertible.
Lets see. If I had the choice of not riding or riding a trike.. Come on not even a hard decision for me.. Still out there on the open highway wind and sun in your face. But I dont think itll be the same. Im only 28 so hopefully I have a while before I have to make that choice. But as of right now.. I choose TRIKE

Considering the cost of a trike, I would probably just get a small convertible if I still wanted to be out in the open. It would be cheaper, less prone to issues, and maintaining it would be cheaper as well.
