I will be 83 in August. I recently bought a ultra classic. I bought a tow pac trike kit for 650.00 that had came off a Harley. Pain another 400.00 to get it shipped to AZ. I bolted it on, adjusted the wheel pressure on the kit, jumped on and took a ride, had to make 1 more minor adjustment. I the painted the fenders to match the ultra colors. Wife is 80 and rides behind. Go for the trike (or kit) you will won't be sorry. I have many pics. If I could. figure out how to send them. If you send me your. Email I will email you some pics. Or if someone would tell me how to do it (I have not figured out this smart phone yet. It's a hell of a lot smarter than me. LOL. Have a good day. O

With my crumbling spine, I seriously thought of a trike, and almost bit the bullet
when they came out with the FLHXX Streetglide trike.
Since then I have been riding my RK, but surely not as much as I want to due to the pain.
I suppose some day, I'd rather have a trike than not ride at all, but for the price they want
I could get a nice used vette, or maybe an XLR.

If it's a Servicar, I'll ride it.

I lost my left leg AKA two years after I got knocked off my Ducati '06 in England and now I'm out in SoCal (where we have 365 good biking days) it was an easy decision to go back on three wheels rather than no wheels.

Only thing I miss about two wheels is the ability to lane split or overtake on narrow and two lane roads.

Like this?
Trike or not?-img_0386.jpg

A Roadking with a clear windshield (not on at the moment) and no tour pack....Champion conversion with IRS, raked tree, and reverse.

Hell yes I'd do it. I did and I'm not the least bit sorry. I wondered how well I'd like it after 47 years of 2 wheels but that doubt was put to rest just as soon as I got a grip on the handling differences between 2 and 3. Corners better than I expected and is way more fun than I expected. I'm not missing having only 2 wheels at all.

This here is what's it's all about. gambler being 85 and his wife being 80 and them doing what they are doing speaks volumes to me. "Manning up" ain't got a damn thing to do with it. Doing what you want to do. That is riding. Not being on the sidelines working on someone's else's bike. Not that there is anything wrong with that if that is what one want's to do.

Not going to be any "whining" or "denial..." going on here. Just doing it my way.

Would love to check out some of your pics. gambler. Will be sending you my email address shortly.
