hello, I have a 2014 XL Sportster 1200C I bought new 3 weeks ago. I am finding that the stock seat is constricting to mu crotch area. I was looking at a new Mustang single wide seat. Talked to them and they think this would be a better seat and give me more room. My only problem with that is what if I get it and try it they wont take it back and then I am our of 300.00. I have checked every dealer in my area and none had any of these in stock but offered to order it for me but because it is a special order there are no refunds. Any ideas? Thanks guys, Dave
I'm going through the same thing....trying to find "That Perfect Seat"
Many of the popular seats will have a pretty good resale value if you absolutely hate it. I just bought the Mustang vintage solo seat, and it will be the fourth seat I will have tried. The stock seat I put away, the Biltwell seat I sold for 70% of what I paid, and the LePera silhouette that's on it now. I'll probably hang on to the LePera because it has a nice look and it feels OK till I've been on it for several hours.
As with many things of this nature, you do your research, you pay your money and you take your chances. They state right up front that installed seats are not returnable. So, it's your choice to buy it...or not.
Well if you buy through Revzilla or JP they have no hassle return policies. I ordered a mustang Vintage Solo and it was absolutely horrible for me (loved the padding but the shape caused nerve pain all down my left leg), sent it back for full credit. Got a Danny Gray Weekday and it was perfect.
