Commuting MPG???
Igot a bit over 35 mpg on my last tank...I thought maybe it was the gas (bought from a cheapo station) but it's looking like I'm not gonna do much better on this tank. I put in 4 gallons last time at a decent station.
Does that sound right? I do about 16-18 miles each wayabout 5 milesis on surface streets.

'87 Evo, stock except for drag pipes & round air cleaner, carb jetted for pipes, SE ignition module. 42.9, 46.4, 41.9, 46.6, 47.7. These are mostly to-from work, 72 mile round trip, highway miles except for one small town @ 45 mph w/1 light. Highway speeds are 55 - 70 mph. Lower mileage figures are ~70 mph average. If I hold it to no more than 60 mph I get over 50 mpg.

If I commute in town, I get really poor milage because half my ride each way I'm still in enrichment mode.
Longer rides even in traffic, average mpg goes up.
You're doing just fine for mileage.
This junky winter gas and the winds you have down there aren't helping either.

I don't think I have ever gotten 50 mpg....45/46 on vacation maybe.
I do stop & go then 80 mph then stop & go. Not got for gas milage no matter what you drive (except maybe a hybrid)
