Default exhaust removal

Thinking about removing Thunderheaders to repaint. I've got service manual and have been doing most work myself and learning more as I go. Is this too difficult or too confusing for a novice. I'll probably take a stab at anyway. The service manual seems a little complicated for this unless I'm just a little too drunk rightnow to figure it out. That's what Saturday's are for. Thanks.

Removing exhaust is simple. Go for it. If you are taking off the head pipes also, grab yourself some new gaskets.

First thing I ever did was replace the exhaust. Had a buddy help me, but I did most of the work. It's pretty easy; if I can do it, anybody can!

it is a very straight forward job. As mentioned earlier soak your bolts and nuts overnight is best. Then buy some new gaskets for the reinstall.

Just becareful nut to cross thread the nuts, epectually the rear ones. I have a friend help me with mine because I had just hand a carple operation and he cross threaded the rear stud. I end up working all day getting the stud out and opening up the stiches in my hand.

Once you get them off make sure you have a clean place to set them aside where they won't get scratched, I recommend some cardboard to set them on.
