I just gotta say this.
I've owned 2 Porsche's, a Crossfire and many different motorcycles and I have never had as many positive comments as I have had sense I've owned my Sportster.
I've had guys literately seek me out at little town fairs asking if it was mine.
The students at the university where I work are always checking it out.
And today I'm gassing up and a guy about my age pokes his head around the pump and comments on how nice it is and a young man in front of me gassing up his really Hot 350Z is smiling and give me a big nod in appreciation
Even my 18 m/o granddaughter calls out for 'Pops' every time a Harley goes by.
Makes me feel like the 'Cool old Guy'
awilson40, Man you aint seen nothing yet, the bigger a Harley you get, the more necks snap as you ride by, which is a great feeling. The down side is the bigger a Harley you get, the younger you feel, try putting a 17 year old spirit in a 55 year old body, Not Cool, ask me how I know.
I love sitting in a restaurant eating and looking out at my bike and seeing guys walk circles around it as they drool over it. Happened just today at Pizza Hut couple times. Always puts a smile on my face.
Same here, other Porsches (mostly 911s) do the headlight flash, but just about every VTwin see does the wave or a thumbs up, and we wave right back. I like to wave at scooters sometimes just to see how excited they get
I get the same thing too. I was getting gas this morning and two older gentlemen about 75 or so got out of their cars and came over, started asking questions, looking it over and asking specific questions about. One man told he he had given his 90 FLH to his grandson and he was thinking about a sportster. I encouraged him. This happens almost every time I stop and fill up. There's something about a sporty.
