nope. i belong to national, and sometimes question why on that as well.
clubs where you attend meetings, events, etc, are not for me.whileI am sure there are some nice folks that are a part of the local chapter, I'm just not interested. I see most ofthose guys hanging out at the dealerwhenever I go in to buy a part - not really sure what that is about.
I was sponsored to join a club and ended up bailing because of the attendance requirements.
Sorry, my time is more valuable than that, and most of my riding is last minute scheduling anyway.
I do, and so far here in Mexico it is the easiest way to actually meet harley owners. I hope this answers your question.
Mimo.
Second thought... I do find it rewarding to help on charity events. My local HOG is a fixed sponsor for a shelter which has kids in terminalcancer stages.
I'm a Road Captain with our Chapter. I can't make meetings and alot of rides because I work 2nd shift. But the eventsI do make are fun. There are pros and cons. I had looked into one other Chapter and they were very "clicky". This Chapter is going out of it's way to make sure we don't form "clicks". The age group is also to my liking (my age peers, 45 to retirement). So far so good.
