WELL WELL WELL, AS OF COUPLE OF DAYS AGO HARLEY DAVIDSON ANNOUNCED TO ALL OF ITS DEALERS IT WILL BE DISCONTINUING THE FXDWG, FXST,FXSTD,FLSTSC,FLHRS, XL883R,VRSCR, AS WELL THE 1 YEAR PRODUCTION OF THE VRSCX AND THE XL50. WERE ALL WONDERING WHY THEY GOT RID OF SOME OF THESE MODELS, BUT SOME WERNT A BIG SELLER! ! !

Here in the great State of Texas, this very evening,
A warm cloud of toxic oblivion has begun to waft
northward towards the Heart of the Country.
This warming will grow exponentially, eventually becoming GLOBAL,
and result in the end of life as we know it.
Women and minorities will be affected most,
and compensation will be dispersed accordingly.

Ok, since this is posted in EVERY THREAD I assume we are all supposed to reply.
My comment......I never thought in a million years they would discontinue the XL50. Figured that one would be around for at least 7 more years.

Oh wait, let's add to the rumor mill. I heard that the reason these models are discontinued is only in part due to sales. At least that is what they are saying is the reason to pull them from production.
But the reality is that these models will be reborn as next generation models sporting the new TCIIC - the 21st century twin cam phase II WATER-COOLED platforms. There might be some delay in their release however as they are trying to find a way to utilize the frame tubing as the coolant reservoir in lieu of a bulky, ugly radiator.

Dear employees of my dealership, I have attempted to make a go of a very profitable bussiness with idiots and have now found I can't afford to stock those models for the upcoming riding season.
Unless things turn around soon, you all should be asking for applications at McDonalds.
