Is there anything I should replace/upgrade just for maintainance while I have it off? Removing to fix tranny seal leak. I'm gonna use all new gaskets. Anything else??

Have a transmission leak that I'm gonna look into. Possibly the main shaft seal.

Your other two posts don`t display a signature line...

But the third one it is there..

Replacing all the seals and gaskets is the way to go.

Replace the shifter shaft seal (and inspect the shifter shaft and shift lever for damage to the splines, looseness, be very critical here).

Replace the starter jackshaft oil seal on the inner primary cover.

Replace the inner primary oil seal.

Remove the drive pulley, replace the pulley spacer, quad seal and big oil seal.

Remove the inner primary bearing inner race from the mainshaft, don`t reuse it.

While the inner primary bearing inner race is off the mainshaft:

Replace the main drive gear seal (it seals the space between the main drive gear and the mainshaft) Note: this is the seal most guys overlook, because it is well hidden.

Here`s a pic of that seal:

that main drive gear seal is easy to replace if you've got the gear out (as in your picture), not so easy if it's still in the case and still on the mainshaft.

One question, Dan, why replace the pulley spacer?

I ask because I'm in the middle of fixing my own gearbox...

Can't emphasize enough about disconnecting the battery if you're going to take the primary apart. The jackshaft is still ready to spin, even with the ignition off. When you pull on it you will engage the battery and it will spin, running your fingers through the gear joint of the starter and the clutch ring.
