So who has either of these, the SE program able shift light tach. Or the speedo tach combo.
Looking for feed back to help me pick one over the other.
Thanks guys
I have one of each on different bikes.
The separate tach is easier to read. It mounts up on the bar clamps so it's higher and in your field of view.I don't find the programmable light that useful...I have it set just under red line.
The combo tach (analog) works well but the tach display is small and you have to look down to see it. That's OK while crusing, but not so great pulling away as you have to take your eyes off the road while accelerating.
Btw nhrider1, thanks for posting. I wouldn't have thought the OP would receive such a quick response from someone who had both. Someone who could give first hand experience with both. Thank You
.
Well thank you both, the info you guys leave only 1 last question. As the SE race parts catalog gives no dimensions.
Can either of you tell me th distance from center line of the clamp that holds the tube housing to the end (back side where the wires come out).
my batwing will be a no issues on clearances, the tombstone windvest may be the problem child. Since mounting on the vertical inside of my ape's is out of the question now since the housing is keyed.
Sorry I have no close up pictures with the tombstone windvest.
