Default Need help identifying strange shovelhead part #'s

Hey guys. I just picked up a 72 FLH rolling chassis with Shovelhead and kick start ratchet top 4 speed. I really only need the motor and trans to build a custom rigid bobber I'm working on and will be selling the rest. After removing the motor I started looking for part numbers to see what all I had going on. A few stripped bolts, some RTV and a brand new back primary plate told me someone had been in it before. I ran the case serial number and it came from a 70 FLH. Got to the heads and jugs and got baffled. Rear jug has 16587-66 cast in the base. I searched that and came up with I believe a 74" rear jug. So that's that. But I can't find anything on either head or the front jug. Front jug has 6-09 cast in the base. Front head has GME 7466 and 74HF case above the spark plug and rear head has 0766 cast above the spark plug. Iv searched everything I believe an cant find anything like that. Has anyone seen these numbers or know what I got? Anything would help. Thanks guys.

You can check part numbers on any of the on-line websites, like this one. The various numbers you refer to are casting numbers, not necessarily the finished part numbers. That link will give you the correct part numbers, although it won't reference the numbers you mention, with the possible exception of that rear jug. There are various websites where you can check engine and chassis serial numbers, if you have them. If the serial numbers confirm the year of your bike you can use the website link with some confidence!
