So I guess no one really visits the brakes thread....
Got a question for anyone who can help.
I have a 97 Dyna with the front dual disc brakes.
I need the brake line from the master down, found one for an 01 road glide, part number 43350-08 no abs.
Can't find any compatibility information for this part number for any bikes but im assuming that a brake line is a brake line and I wouldnt assume that any of the fittings or anything like that were changed bike to bike.
Wondering if any one in here has any idea if this line will work with the 97 fxd.
The bikes are different shapes in various ways. The touring bikes have wider trees and handlebars, also an upright riding position, so the '08 lines will not be identical to your Dynas, however the only differences will be in the lengths of the various parts.
Personally I wouldn't use any secondhand brake pipes, if that is what you're looking at. If your bike is an '07 it probably uses DOT5 brake fluid, while I suspect an '08 uses DOT4. Personally I would make a fresh start with a braided pipe set, readily available on Ebay for around $80, take a look at #231535707674.
