Default DIY Maintenance Question

Happy 2016 All!

I'm going into my second season of Riding and want to get more hands on.

Wondered if anyone had any recommendations for a good manual to start with? I have 2015 FXDB and online I found Rapidmanuals...

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

You might as well bite the bullet and get the factory service manual. They have become more available (cheaper too) and will be valuable if you really are going to do your own service.

Get the factory manual, not cheap but has pretty much everything you will need.

factory service manual and the factory parts manual. the parts manual has all the part numbers and great exploded views. also get a note book and record all your service, what you do, accessories, add-ons, tire changes, etc. you will be surprised how handy this would be down the road. I also get pretty **** and record every gallon of fuel used and track mileage! I also have plastic sheet holders I place all the installation instructions, sales receipts etc..... this will give the next owner a good idea of the care taken and when things were done.

YouTube University is also a great resource. I learned to change my Primary oil, Transmission oil and Engine oil from www.youtube.com

Buy the Service Manual. Best investment for doing it yourself.
