Default Handlebar wiring extensions question

I'm doing a bar swap this weekend and have a question about the wire extensions. The kit that I have has the terminal pins on each end which seems like a good idea. Should I hook these up as designed and heat shrink, or maybe put a dab of solder on each pin connection? Or strip the pins completely and just solder? I'll be running the wires inside the bars and don't want any trouble down the road.

I soldered and used heat shrink on mine . No problems going on 2yrs. It takes longer than you may think and they are a bear to pull thru . I did 1 1/4" bars , just take your time and be carefull. Good luck & worth the trouble.

I would cut the connectors off the end that will be in the handlebar and solder the ends together, then heat shrink. Make sure you stagger the solder joints or you will end up with a large mass of solder joints that makes it hard to pull through the handlebars...

If you do solder just be careful, I have seen some people use too much solder and mess up the signal transmissions that run thru the wires....

Task completed. I cut the joints, pulled the factory harness thru the bars, then soldered the extensions. I covered each connection with heat shrink then put each bundle into large heat shrink. I am pretty confident that this all went well, I'll try and get them installed tomorrow. Any tips on installing the front brake lines? Non-ABS.
