Hey everyone, I am riding an 06 FXDLI with the Slotted Stem Profile mirrors (HD Part # 91697-06A), i am noticing more and more that they move when I hit a bump (in NYC this is all the time), if I put my helmet on the mirror and when i take off the cover. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to tighten them?
First thing I would try is a stainless washer on the underside of the mirror stem( bottom side of controls) and see if that stabilizes things.....sounds like it isn't tight enough.
Thanks for the replies, just to clarify, it is the actual mirror that is loose. The stem is connected just fine to the handlebars. Its frustrating to have to adjust them almost every time I get on the bike and even during a ride... What about LocTite instead of super glue?

Go ahead and try Löctite, but I can assure you that super glue works. Just don't put a big glob on there. A small drop works and you will still be able to adjust it.
I used the light duty green Loctite. But once you adjust it or bump it, it's loose. and you'll need to re-glue it. Not good when your on the road.
Just bite the bullet and get new mirrors. Might even be a kind soul on here who'll give you a set
