Thanks for allowing me to join. I ride a 2005 FLHTCI VIVID BLACK with 98000 km on her. She has been great to my wife and I as we toured The Smokey Mountains,Sturgis many times,Yellowstone,Key West,Daytona, Dragons Tail, Friday 13 in Port Dover Ontario Canada and multiple destinations.
But when I went for a last ride before winter storage the charge gauge dropped to 0 then up to 8 then 0. When I shut it down and tried to start it the engine rolled over one crank then stopped as if a dead short. Every attempt to start is the same even with a new charged battery. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated Thanks
Ironman1 welcome to the Forum from Utah.
When you installed the new battery did you check all the connections including grounds and positive to the starter? Does the fuel pump run for a couple seconds when you turn the ignition On? You could try pulling the wire to the solenoid and jump from the positive on the starter to the solenoid and see if it will crank.
Good luck
Bill
