Default Electrical issue possibly

I have a 2013 street bob and recently wired up a new tag bracket that has tail light and turn signal in it. Also I took out my fuel gauge cap to be painted. With only doing this I am experiencing all sorts of issues. Now my check engine light is coming on which I expected was because of the fuel gauge cap but it only comes on when I pull my front brake. Also my bright light goes out when I pull in my front brake. Then all of a sudden my bike wouldn't start but it would try intermittently and then all of a sudden started back up. I also run a Vance and Hines fuel pak 3 fp3 and when I check the trouble codes the only thing it's showing is I am running to rich and that my crank position sensor is acting up which I just purchased a new one to replace. I have no idea what is going on seeing as how all I did was change my rear brake light and turn signal setup so if anyone can offer any shed of light it would be much appreciated.

Was it a plug and play tag bracket, or did you have to splice it in.

I'm going to guess the tag bracket light and/or turns are LEDs? No load equalizer?
