Default HELP!! blocking overflow valve.

Hi guys.
I am in the process of transplanting 2018 street bob fuel pump into 2016 forty eight gas tank.

Because the overflow pipe is built in as part of forty eight gas tank, I need to block off the extra over flow from 2018 street bob. which is built into the fuel pump module. (see pic below)

This pipe screws right off and left the screw hole at the bottom of the module. (see pic below)

I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to block this screw hole in question and came up with following option.

1. find a same thread sized screw + o-ring and block it off with loctite.
2. cut the pipe short and cap it with.... (your recommendation here please)

Now, I need some reassurance from anyone who's done this sort of thing before and see my options above are do-able, bearing in mind that these will require to work inside the gas tank.

as mentioned, easier I can do this the merrier.
Thanks very much in advance guys.

i think you have it covered with option #1. that way, if the need arose, reversible, say you got a new tank!

yeah i think option 1 is the way to go too. Thanks for your reply..
still interested to know just for my own reference (and just incase the correct thread size doesnt exist for some magical reason..) the ways I can cap the ends off. Maybe with a rubber end cap with zip tie or weld it shut??

Option 1, O-ring and smear the bolt with Hylomar or some 2 part mix Petseal before fitting. Hylomar will also seal/cap the end of the pipe off if need be! Job done!

I wouldn't use any sealer and would use a viton O ring..

https://www.mcmaster.com/#o-rings/=1bkfmnt

click on the top "About O rings" and pick one that works with fuel..
