Carb question, 76 shovelhead (non CV) keihin "butterfly"

I looked again and my carb is a 1976 model and I cant see where it would fit. Looking at the diagrams the 1978-1980 has a limiter cap that can be taken off then that mixture screw has the washer and small o ring. I'm beginning to think that this rebuild kit was made to work on both the carbs. I cant find anywhere to put this o ring. Thanks for all yalls help . Big Nick
